Enjoy the tranquility of Demens Landing.
Found between two yacht basins, where the first railroad pier in St. Petersburg was located, Demens Landing Park is a beautiful waterfront park in Florida. Named after the Russian nobleman, Peter Demens, who built the railroad pier in 1889, the park offers a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. There’s so much you can do here, no matter what the age!
Here, you can let your kids run about in delight on the stretches of grass, or settle down to enjoy a musical by the sea. Of course, if you’re up for a little exercise, you can stroll along the park, enjoying the view of the glinting blue waters of Tampa Bay. In the distance, the high-rise buildings of Tampa rise into baby blue skies, and you are bound to see St Pete Pier. There’s a lovely playground that is sure to keep your children occupied while you head off to the sea wall and the docks to try your hand at fishing. You might even catch sight of a dolphin or two, as they leap from the water and splash back in. When your stomach rumbles, settle down with a delicious picnic and enjoy the lovely sight of the boats reflected in clear waters in the North Basin Marina. End your day with a spectacular view of the sunset in the evening. There couldn’t be a more perfect way to kick off your holiday in Florida!
