Charles Deering, known for being an American businessman and philanthropist, was the owner of the 444-acre property that is now known as the Charles Deering Estate. With a wooden house of three stories and another three-story mansion, the estate is truly a sight like none other.


Explore the historic buildings that have been preserved alongside precious collections of plants. Here, you can do practically anything. Discover the surroundings like never before on a canoe tour, or watch a butterfly land on your outstretched palm on the butterfly walk. Don’t like insects?
