San Francisco, United States of America
De Young Museum

One of the two fine arts museum in San Francisco.

Named after its founder M. H. de Young (1849 – 1925), the de Young Museum showcases American art all the way from the 17th century to the present times. Besides that, it also exhibits international contemporary art, textiles and costumes from the Americas, Pacific and Asia. Although art and artefacts are the main draw of this museum, visitors may find themselves discovering so much more things to do.

The Hamon Tower Observation Floor, which is at the east end of the museum, offers a stunning view of San Francisco. Standing at about 43 metres, it gives visitors a panoramic view of the city, with impressive views of Golden Gate Park, the neighbourhoods and the Golden Gate Bridge itself. Also, you might want to pass through the Sculpture Garden and check out the contemporary works of art. This is a good spot for people wanting to get their Instagram-worthy shots! It seems like there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to this museum.
