Waterfall in the desert.
Darwin Falls defies all odds by actually existing in the desert-like Death ValleyThis spring-fed waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Death Valley National Park, standing at about 24 metres tall. By probably being the only source of permanent fresh water in this park, this means that grass, trees, and various forms of wildlife are in abundance. The trail leading to the falls is a fairly short and easy one, and visitors will be able to tell that they are going in the right path by observing the scenery.
Pay attention to how the desert slowly transitions into a lush, green forest, and that’s when you’ll know that you’ve reached the falls. Take your time and fully appreciate the entirety of the gorgeous falls. Just be sure to remember the irony of it all; that you are seeing all this in Death Valley, one of the hottest and driest places on Earth.
