Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm (대관령 양떼목장)

A privately owned sheep ranch in South Korea offering visitors a once-in-a-lifetime sheep feeding experience.

The Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm is a privately-owned sheep ranch spanning 195 square kilometers. Out of all the ranches in Pyeongchang province, only this particular one houses sheep. The sheep grazing field is surrounded by a 1.2 meter-long walkway, which allows visitors to view the sheep as they take a stroll. Another point of interest is a wooden shack which sits on the field that was featured in the film 'The Man from Mars'. Do take note that the ranch is closed on Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), or in the event of adverse weather, so do call beforehand to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit!

Tips Before You Go
During the winter, the sheep are kept indoors so you won’t be able to see them at the grazing field at all. Furthermore, there are no buses here, so you will need to either take a car or a cab to get here. Remember to call in advance to check if the farm is open!
