Brimming with plenty to discover, this library is a beauty.
Originating since the 18th century, the library houses a collection of books belonging to the first Engineering professor from the Czech states – Christian Willenberg. Over the next few centuries, as the collection grew, it appeared that there was a need for a far bigger place to house this ever-growing collection.
Thus, in 2009, the opening of the Czech National Library of Technology at its new location - Prague 6 was revealed. Designed to be a high-tech living room for students, the stunning building boasts a glass façade, letting in natural lighting into the building. Accompanied by flooring painted in bold colours, these provide a welcoming atmosphere and space to think! With plenty of room for all to discuss and think, the rooms are also equipped with vending machines! The perfect lounge for all to eat and discover, there’s no better library than this.
