Located in a beautiful Baroque-styled monastery of St. Mary Magdalene, this museum collects over 700, 000 items, documenting in detail the history of music, not just in Prague, but in the entire world.


From harmonicas, flutes, and even the grand piano that was once played by the prodigy – Mozart! There is truly a wide array of musical instruments you’ll be introduced to here, being able to hear for yourself how they sound. At this museum, you must check out the “Man-Instrument-Music” exhibit! A permanent exhibit showcasing the intricate relationship between humans and musical instruments, the harmony of various instruments coming together is a beautiful symphony, literally music to your ears. Accommodating to not just lovers of classical music, contemporary music is also showcased here, with the help of their corresponding instruments.
