Cyber Park

A beautiful park with the Atlas Mountains in the background.

While in Marrakech, you certainly should take the time out to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Arsat Moulay Abdeslam Cyber Park. This eight-hectares park was commissioned by Prince Moulay Abdeslam in the eighteenth century initially as a food producing area, but it was refurbished into a botanical garden by the French during their occupation.

The park consists of two extremely beautiful gardens: the modern garden and the historic Arsat garden. The modern garden was designed to include walkways, water features, sprawling lawns and lush greenery, features that you would normally see in a garden of today’s times. The historic garden, on the other hand, transports visitors back in time to have a feel of how gardens in the past used to be designed, with olive and lemon trees planted this garden’s fountain grass. OF course, both gardens lend themselves to picturesque views, with the beautiful Atlas Mountains serving as a backdrop to the park.

Contrary to popular belief, this park isn’t a futuristic, digital park everyone perceives it to be. Rather, it's somewhat plebeian name is derived from the fact that visitors will access have to free Wi-Fi at any location of the park, along with a cybercafe being located on the park’s premises. Regardless, the Cyber Park is truly worth a visit should you just wish to relax and unwind!
