Culture Station Seoul 284

A historic station with ever-changing exhibitions!

The Culture Station Seoul 284 was once an old train station in Seoul. It was previously known as Gyeongsung Station and was designed by Tokyo University professor Tsukamoto Yasushi. Constructed in 1925 it was nothing more than a homeless refuge up to about a decade ago. But in 2011, this old station was refurbished and established as a multicultural space with its current name. The renovations took over two years to finish and cost the government nearly 20 million dollars. Presently the station is used for exhibitions, performances and other large-scale events. It is surely worth a quick visit if you have a train to catch at Seoul Station and have enough free time on your hands. With roving exhibitions, you never really know what to expect, so do come on in if given the chance!
