Croke Park Stadium

Hear the roaring shouts of support and the thundering echo that often takes over Croke Park Stadium.

Seating over 82, 300 spectators, Croke Park Stadium is arguably one of the largest sporting areas in Europe. These grounds were where the traditional Gaelic sports of hurling and football were first grown, brought out from the Irish streets to the international arena. Generations of remarkable athletes have touched these fields, marching down in their contingents for the 2003 Special Olympics or even earlier when the boxing legend Mohammed Ali faced of Al Lewis. Adrenaline soaked music, the air charged with the scent of young blood, has echoed within these grounds as iconic acts from Ed Sheeren, The Script, Pharrell Williams and more took place at this very site.

Visiting the Stadium is clearly not just for sports buffs as visitors are brought to the GAA Museum filled with exhibits on the integral role played by sports throughout Irish history as glue binding Irish society together. Blue paneled walls on either side, you can take a walk down the Hogan tunnel, the very same path sporting legends took in their last few seconds before an unforgettable match. Climbing up 17 stories, you can also catch an aerial glimpse of the city as seen from the roof of its world famous stadium, quite aptly named as the Ericsson Skyline. A site of raw passion and hard earned glory, Croke Park Stadium is an ode to the growth of sporting in Ireland.
