This building is so brilliant that it’s crazy.
With a name like Crazy House, how could you resist visiting this attraction? The brainchild of Vietnamese architect Dr. Dang Viet Nga, the Crazy House, also known as the Hằng Nga guesthouse, is one of the most creative buildings you are likely to see.
Having opened its doors since 1990, this building is absolutely whimsical and unconventional, looking like something out straight out of a fairytale. Spurred on by the thought of uniting people with nature, the structure is something of a misshaped tree, embedded with sculpted versions of natural elements such as mushrooms and animals. Indeed, the building is meant to portray a complex organic structure highlighting natural forms.
The interior is just as jaw dropping, with each guest room having its own theme based on animals, such as the tiger room and the kangaroo room. Dr. Nga admitted to being inspired by famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí, with others comparing it to the works of Salvador Dali. Its expressionist architecture, with its organic features and bizarre shapes, is sure to catch your eyes regardless of whether you’re actually staying a night at the place or are just simply passing by. Discover, with your own eyes, an element of genius in crazy, by visiting the Crazy House.
