Coronet Peak

Experience the peak of winter fun at this marvellous mountain.

Just by looking at Otago’s Coronet Peak will make any ski bunny salivate with anticipation. Whether you desire the gentle ski areas or something a bit more challenging, you can find what your heart desires right here at Coronet Peak, which is said to be the “original” resort ski area in Queenstown, New Zealand. There is even a fun zone for the younger ones to get familiar with the alpine activity. For those of you who need a little crash course to get you on your way, the Coronet Peak Snowsports School is there to provide skiing and snowboarding lessons for people of all ages. Facilities aside, there are also amenities available to maximise your skiing experience. A high speed quad chairlift and a high speed six-seater chairlift are all available for your usage. In addition, since 2010, a high speed beginner chairlift has also been installed on site. Hop on board any one of these chairlifts and you will also be rewarded with a spectacular view of your surroundings. If you are sharp enough, you might even be able to spot Lake Wakatipu and Lake Hayes. All that time in the cold is bound to get you craving for something warm, a craving that can be fulfilled by dining at any of the cafes available.

With much to do at Coronet Peak, one day of skiing might not even be enough for the enthusiastic ones among you!
