Copernicus Science Centre

The largest science centre in the whole of Poland!

The Copernicus Science Centre is the largest science museum in Warsaw, Poland and houses over 450 interactive exhibits! In 2015 alone, it recorded over 5 million visitors since its opening that year. The entire complex comprises a two-storey building of exhibits, laboratories and conference centres, a workshop and garage, a planetarium as well as a Discovery Park. Several of its permanent attractions include 'Humans and the Environment', 'Roots of Civilisation' and 'RE: generation', a gallery made specially for young adults. Apart from its permanent exhibits, the centre also houses roving ones like 'Experiment!', its very first exhibit which saw more than 10,000 visitors in a day. Ever since 2006, it has been traveling around large cities and smaller towns to give residents a first-hand experience with scientific experiments.

Tips Before You Go
The Science Centre is packed with kids on weekends, so it would be better to visit on weekdays instead. While you can purchase tickets online, the site is entirely in Polish, so you might want to just purchase them personally instead. If you come early in the morning, the whole place is fairly empty, so you don’t have to worry about long queues or large crowds.
