The Confucius Shrine and Historical Museum of China in Nagasaki is the only one constructed outside of China with Chinese labour - even the grounds upon which this incredible homage stands upon is managed and controlled by the Chinese Embassy in Japan. Beautiful, ornate buildings in traditional Chinese-styled architecture greet visitors, along with the 72 sages that were Confucius’ disciples, sculptured in life-size. If that doesn’t impress you, head within the temple’s walls - the main hall has been around since the conception of this building, and the museum contains a series of precious artefacts directly on loan from China!
