Coconut Grove

Miami’s oldest neighborhood.

A large number of Miami’s earliest settlers made their homes in Coconut Grove, and today, it is a bustling neighborhood with plenty of activities for you to discover. As you traverse the streets in the "Grove", as it is nicknamed, you'll pass by hardwood trees with their impressive branches and outspread canopy, blending in with the tree-lined streets that make up the Grove. They add to the atmosphere and are perfect for photos. If you see the occasional peacock strutting by, well, that's normal here.

If you’re up for a walk in the neighborhood, you can walk past quaint cottages and marvel at historic churches. There's plenty of cafés along the sidewalks for a quick bite when your stomach rumbles, and plenty of activity at the Peacock Park for you exercising enthusiasts. If you want a few hours of peace and quiet, head to the bay where a cluster of sailboats are tethered and gaze out at the water. Art lovers fear not! There are museums and art galleries for you to peruse while in the Grove and a playhouse for the energetic tots. This is one place you don’t want to miss while in Miami!
