Clock Tower, Hong Kong

A clock delayed by not minutes or hours, but years.

You might perhaps appreciate the irony in the delay of a clock tower actually having a clock. While the structure of Hong Kong's Clock Tower was up and running in 1915, the clock itself only came in 1921. Now listed as a Declared Monument, the 44m-tall tower was made to be part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus. Although the terminus has now moved to a different station, the red brick and granite clock tower remains in Tsim Sha Tsui, crowned by a 7m-long lightning rod.
