Chicken Island
Walk on water at Chicken Island in Krabi.
It doesn’t take much to figure out what gave Chicken Island it’s unique name – a limestone rock formation shaped like a chicken forms the island’s southern tip, making for a photo opportunity that’s a perfect mix of picturesque and comical.
Like many of Thailand’s islands, Chicken Island is surrounded by stunning coral reefs that attract dozens of snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. However, what sets it apart from the other islands is the sandbar that connects it to Koh Tap and Koh Mor. The sandbar is only visible during low tide, allowing visitors to walk along it to the other two islands surrounded by sapphire waters. It’s almost like walking on water!
