If you’ve always wanted to see Chicago on foot, the Chicago Lakefront Trail is the perfect route for you. Almost thirty kilometres long, the Trail is a meandering shared path that hugs the western shore of Lake Michigan, and will take you past all four of Chicago’s major lakefront parks, as well as its various beaches and recreational amenities. You will be blessed with a constant and unblocked view of the beautiful Lake Michigan, and the cityscape as it unfolds before your eyes. The route will take you to different attractions in the city, such as the Museum of Science and Industry, Navy Pier, Soldier Field, McCormick Place and more. There are even a few dog parks along the way! Besides being a tourist attraction, the path functions as a route for bicycle commuters and joggers, making it a place where different lives in the city intersect.
