Chicago Cultural Center

Don’t forget to check out Chicago’s beautiful home of the arts!

A vast, beautiful space the Chicago Cultural Centre is a Chicago Landmark building and houses the city’s official reception venue where the Mayor welcomes Presidents, royalty and other visiting dignitaries. On other days, it is one of the most comprehensive arts showcases in the United States, with more than one thousand programmes and exhibitions over the year that cover a wide range of performing, visual and literary arts. Some notable exhibitions in the past include one called “Crossroads: Modernism in Ukraine” that featured the visual artwork of Ukrainian artists. The building of the cultural centre is itself an artwork, with iconic features of the architecture making it a must-see for locals and tourists alike. The Healy and Millet stained glass dome is an ethereal construction that looks divine in the day, thanks to the effect of sunlight on the stained glass. All in all, the Chicago Cultural Center is a must-see during your visit to the city.
