Cheonjeyeon Falls (천제연 폭포)

Escape from reality at this three-tiered waterfall paradise.

Soak in the beauty of rushing waters and beautiful rock formations at Cheonjeyeon Falls, also known as the majestic ‘Pond of Heaven’. The unique name of Cheonjeyeon came from a folklore telling the tale of seven nymphs who came down from heaven to take a bath and play in the pond - a magical tale fitting for the scenic waterfall. Follow the well-marked path up slope and be rewarded with a stunning view of the first and second tiers of the waterfall. Enjoy the breathtaking view of a glistening blue pond bordered by interesting rock formations and allow the sound of rushing water to transport you into a realm of paradise. At the third and lowest tier of the waterfall, which requires walking in the opposite direction of the first two waterfalls through some steep sections, you will find the waters cascading into a turquoise-blue pool. Cheonjeyeon Falls is certainly the place for a quick adventure as well as a peaceful escape from the flurry of city life.
