Chaojing Park (潮境公园)

One man’s landfill is another man’s park.

Chaojing Park in Taiwan has a backstory that reads like a rags to riches tale but this version is about nature instead.

Formerly a landfill, the park has now been cleaned up and developed, and has become a great spot for some nature immersion and breathtaking views of the ocean, the town of Jiufen and Keelung Mountain at a distance. At the entrance of the park, you will be welcomed by a “ping-lang” bridge and as you venture further, you can see just how family-friendly this park is with its bike paths, sandpits and benches, making it a well-equipped spot to bring your little ones for a day of fun and joy.

There is also the option to book a guided tour to learn more about the fascinating ecology of this area and make your trip to Chaojing Park all the more meaningful. An experienced guide will be present to give visitors thought-provoking insights into the expansive marine life living in the waters.

After all the activity, you might like to just relax and simply take in all things beautiful surrounding you with a walk down the beach on the smooth, soft sand.
