Mont Fleuri, Seychelles
Cerf Island

Being stranded on a desert island minus all the negatives – leaving behind only the pure serenity of being in a state of near isolation.

Devoid of roads or shops, this is as back to the basics as it gets, with only two tiny hotels and a handful of private villas as the closest form of civilization on this granite island. Essentially it’s just you, yourself, and the gorgeous natural surroundings for company.

Time loses all meaning on this slow paced island where your only worry is deciding where’s the best spot on the beach to soak in the sunshine. And of course, choosing which of its pristine white sandy beaches offers the most breathtaking view of the piercing blue ocean. While snorkeling is a fantastically popular activity considering the vast underwater world that has established itself around the island’s shores, the water is so crystal clear that simple peering into it from above will already offer you the chance to spot some vibrant fish, turtles, rays and strange looking coral, such as the rare “black coral”. At night, the pier is lit up and the reef itself becomes an exhibit of moving art in the form of rainbow sealife.
