Carnegie Hall

Distinguished guests appear by the bucket load at this remarkable venue.

When the name Carnegie Hall is mentioned, the most appropriate descriptor for it would simply be one word – prestigious. This concert venue has played host to the world's best artists since its inception in 1891 in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Distinguished pianist and composer Sergei Rachmaninoff had performed here in 1909. Judy Garland made history in these walls, winning 5 Grammys for the live recording of her concert here in 1961. One of these Grammys was for Album of the Year, which was the first win for a woman, and a live recording. Even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave a speech here in 1968, his last major public speech before his assassination. Intrigued? Take the 60-75 minute tour of this monumental hall to truly experience the opulence of Carnegie Hall.
