Ca’ Rezzonico

Awaken the voyeur in you as you peek into what life was like in an extravagant Venetian home.

The lavish Ca' Rezzonico, was once owned by the wealthy Rezzonico merchant family, and has since been transformed into a museum. Offering greater insights into the frivolous life of the Venetian wealthy more than two centuries ago, the opulence of the ballroom will leave one spellbound. Evoking the tastes of rich Venetians, gaze at the frescoes by Battista and Visconti, in addition to the luxurious furniture, tapestries and artifacts such as a vintage gondola.

Another highlight is the delightful collection of Pietro Longhi’s paintings portraying daily Venetian life in the 18th century. Do not miss 'The Hilarious Pair', depicting a bawdy scene in a tavern and 'The Morning Chocolate', which became an exotic drink after the discovery of the New World.
