The 15th century Castle Ruins in Oia, was once a fortification before it got partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1956. Today, it has been helmed as the best spot in Santorini to catch the legendary sunsets! The view from the Castle Ruins are beyond spectacular, with Amoudi Bay, Armeni Bay and the caldera in sight.


One could marvel at the view atop the castle ruins, with Santorini’s chalk-white skylines and the azure waters beneath, or you could take a trek down to Amoudi Bay where various cruises are available for island hopping!
