A visit to this tropical nirvana allows you to feel as close to nature as it gets, being surrounded by vibrant horticulture and delicate, colourful butterflies dancing through the air around you.
Set in the splendour of Haga Royal Park, the Butterfly house is an exotic enclosure that transports you to the natural tropical habitat of several thousand butterflies including 700 different species. Observe the butterflies perform their graceful mating dance and larvaes chow down on an array of foods. Spend enough time wandering through the 3000 square meters of garden (which will not be a challenge at all!) and you just might be lucky enough to catch the natural miracle of a butterfly hatching. With a balmy temperature of 25 degrees in the day and a cool 18 degrees at night, and a high humidity to ensure the butterflies can thrive, it is a rare opportunity to enjoy some warmth without even having to leave the country. If you think it can’t get any better, the butterfly house is home to other animal species such parrots, koi and lizards, so there is no chance of getting bored. Open every single day, all year round, pick a day and come on down!
