Brooklyn Bridge Park

Stroll through the park or sweat it out – the choice is yours.

Along the Brooklyn side of the East River in New York, you will find the vast 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park. The waterfront park is divided into different segments with different opening hours, but the rule of thumb is most areas open at 6am and close at 11pm. Native flowers and berries grow in different areas of the park, which provide food and shelter to the native bees and butterflies. The Pier 2 is also a haven for fitness enthusiasts, equipped with a roller rink, basketball courts and handball courts. After a day of sweating in the sun, you can freshen up at the restrooms and quench your thirst at the water fountains.

Tips Before You Go
The Brookly Bridge Park is typically packed during the weekends, with many of them either going for walks or exercising. As such, if you plan to take a relaxing stroll while taking in the sights, then perhaps it might be better to visit on a weekday instead. Make sure to look out for photographers too. There is apparently a vantage point somewhere in the park that photographers absolutely adore as it provides them with the best views.
