Situated between the Brighton Dome and the Royal Pavilion, the Brighton Museum is a home to a wide-ranging variety of dynamic displays, ranging from LGBTQ to African Fashion. Of course, as it is aptly named after the city in which it was built, the first exhibition to visit would be Images of Brighton, which utilizes images and film to showcase Brighton’s history, and how it progressed from a fishing town in its early days leading up to the Mod and Rockers era. The museum also highlights and represents the LGBTQ community through galleries such as The Museum of Transology and Queer Looks. It engages you in stories and real-life accounts that documents the lives and struggles of the community.

Other interesting features include the Fine Art Galleries and Willett’s Popular Pottery, which display an incredible assembly of fascinating artefacts and art. A popular and commonly visited exhibition is Ancient Egypt, where you get to learn and experience the history of Egypt through interactive screens, Egyptian antiques and abstract pictures detailing the past. A day or a half at this informative museum would be perfect to expand your knowledge in these distinctive fields.
