Yosemite’s famous waterfall.
Perhaps the first waterfall you will see when entering Yosemite Valley in the Yosemite National Park, the Bridalveil Fall plunges 189 metres into the pool below. Its name is derived from the mist it generates when the breeze blows, which resembles a bridal veil.
This waterfall is accessible via the Bridalveil Fall Trail, which is an easy hike that should not take more than 20 minutes. This paved trail leads to the base of the waterfall, which flows all year-round. Perhaps the best time to hike would be in early spring, where the water volume is at its highest. However, do be prepared to get wet! During winter, expect icy conditions. Regardless of the season however, this waterfall is beautiful beyond measure.
