Boverie Park (Parc de la Boverie)

An easily assessible park in Liege city perfect for a family day out!

The Parc de la Boverie is a public park conceptualised in 1862 by Julien Remont and officially opened in 1863. It is situated right at the heart of Liege city, at the southern tip of the island that can be found at the Meuse River, and has been designated as a green zone since the 14th century. The park was one of the main destinations of the World’s Fairs in 1905 and 1930 and in it you can be treated to several of its attractions including the Palais des Congres of Liege constructed in 1958 and the expanded Palace of Fine Arts. That is not all. With a sea of lush green trees, mesmerising waterfront views and scenic walking paths, this is a park popular with runners, cyclists, families… Everyone! There are also water sports clubs available as alternatives to the standard activities one can participate in when at a park. Unlike other popular tourist attractions in the city, you do not have to sacrifice your precious sleeping time just to wake up earlier to secure a good spot at the park as this place will offer you a tranquil and quiet hideout at any time of the day you wish to visit.
