Bohol Habitat Conservation Center (Habitat Butterflies Conservation Center)

Certainly the perfect place for butterfly lovers!

This butterfly conservation center in Bohol is the first butterfly livelihood, breeding and conservation programme in Bohol. It aims to raise the butterfly population in the island, as well as to study and promote the preservation of host plants, which are dwindling due to deforestation.

There is much reason for excitement at this center; you can watch the butterflies fluttering about at the Butterfly Garden, a landscaped area with vibrant and eye-catching flowers that attract the butterflies. To better understand the butterflies, head on to the Butterfly Enclosure to find many species of local butterflies feeding, breeding and playing. You can even learn more about caterpillar feeding and the life cycle of a butterfly with the knowledgeable and engaging guides. Sit in a hammock or the pagoda to simply wind down and admire the flittering creatures. For the explorers among you, the nature trail along a small hill will prove to be a fun adventure, with overhanging trees and different species of flora and fauna.
