Birla Mandir, Kolkata

Where decadence and divinity reside hand in hand.

Built by the affluent Birla family in 1996, Kolkata’s Birla Mandir is truly a sight to behold. Dedicated to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha, this formidable Hindu temple took 26 years to make. Adopting the Rajasthani architectural style, the temple is crafted out of white marble and sandstone, with towering domes on the outside and intricate carvings inspired by the Bhagavat Gita within.

It is recommended that you visit in the evening when the sun is down, as the luxurious chandeliers are illuminated, along with electric diyas for the evening prayers, creating an atmosphere of glowing spirituality. For a visually appealing prayer experience, look no further than the Birla Mandir in Kolkata.
