The Bells Rapids in Perth is a breathtaking destination to connect with nature. Here, you will find a walking trail that is approximately 5.5km long and passes by the Swan River. The white rapids at the Swan River are ideal for thrill-seekers looking for an exciting spot to kayak. A word of caution – do not swim in the river as it is too dangerous. If you happen to be in the neighborhood in early August, you may be in time to catch the Avon Descent White Water Race, which can easily be viewed from the Bells Rapids. Alternatively, you could pack a picnic and spend an entire day here with the family, basking in the glory of the natural beauty that lies before you.

The Bells Rapids attracts a ton of visitors during the weekends - both locals and tourists alike, so come on a weekday to enjoy some peace and tranquility. Take note that it can be rather dry during the summer months, so the water levels in the river can be almost next to nothing. Bring plenty of water along with you too!
