Built for the Olympics in 2008, the National Aquatics Center has since developed a myriad of post-Olympic uses.
The National Aquatics Center resembles a gigantic blue box and is affectionately referred to as the "Water Cube". This unique structure is the world’s very first to be built upon the "soap bubble" theory, and it is supported by a polyhedral steel-framed structure. The Water Cube reflects sunlight during the day, before being spectacularly lit up at night. The interior is amazing as well, with a massive Water Park offering all sorts of interesting experiences such as Tornado Rides, Bulletbowl, Speedslide and Wave Pool.
The Waterdrop Theater over here is built to hold 150 people and is well-equipped to show 3D and HD laser films. In fact, visitors can also pamper themselves in the SPA Zone with its state-of-the-art facilities, or else dine in the various water-themed restaurants. End the day by getting a souvenir from the store, unless you'd rather just relax in the bar of course.
