Bayfront Park

Few would expect that Miami’s musical heart rests in a park by the bay.

Sandy beaches, adorable statues and art installations and the constantly sunny disposition of Bayfront Park no matter rain or shine. This description might leave you with the impression that this space is just your run of the mill oasis of green inserted into an urban heartland. That would be doing Bayfront Park a sore disservice. That twisted lattice of steel? That is a memorial to the 1980 Challenger Space Shuttle Crash which led to the death of all the crew on board. That promenade? The perfect spot for a family selfie with the tireless cranes of Miami Port as an appealing backdrop as the sunset dances across the waters of Biscayne Bay.

And how can we forget Klipsch Amphitheater. This isn’t any empty, echoing platform. This is the space which was awarded the Best Live Music Venue of Miami in 2015. This is the stage that featured big names such as Van Halen and Jimmy Buffet when it started to Elton John, Hailee Steinfield and Kei$ha. Crowds of up to 8000 fist pump and surge to the music as the pyrotechnics and captivating lights set the bay on fire. With such an exciting event list, there’s sure to be something to catch your eye no matter when you visit.
