Built in an interesting mix of Carolingian and Romanesque styles, the Basilica (also know as Chiesa) di San Lorenzo is located in the heart of Verona. Restored after World War II, the church is striking because of the two towers that protect the cylindrical staircases which lead to the gallery above the main nave.
Look out for its impressive façade that were made out of alternating bricks and stones which renders the interior of the church to show intriguing patterns of stripes on its walls, apse and columns.
