First lit up in the year 1881, Barrenjoey Lighthouse was used by customs officers to monitor anyone smuggling contraband into Broken Bay. It is located at Barrenjoey Head at Palm Beach – the northern tip of Sydney, and boasts superb views of the Central Coast, Broken Bay and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. So hesitate no more, put on a pair of comfortable shoes and embark on the walking tracks that gurantee stunning views well worth the hike. Don’t forget to bring your camera or even a pair of binoculars to do some whale watching!
