Bamboo Island

A small but stunning island in the southern Thailand province Krabi.

Measuring only 600 metres wide and 700 metres long, Bamboo Island is a north-eastern island on the Phi Phi archipelago. The island, also affectionately known as Koh Pai in Thai, has a unique shape similar to a heart! Although tiny, the island is home to tons of lush green vegetation, including bamboo trees, where it got its name from. The island also boasts a small beach that stretches for about 90 metres, where you can simply choose to lounge on the soft white sands or swim in the crystal clear blue waters of the Andaman Sea. However, if you’re looking for something a little more exciting, Bamboo Island also offers snorkeling opportunities near its coral reef! The island’s coral reef spreads up to 500 metres, allowing visitors to get a fascinating sight of colourful fishes and all kinds of strange and wonderful sea creatures. Bamboo Island is also a veritable paradise for seasoned divers, who can venture further out to sea to explore the marvelous underwater world. If you’re looking for a place to simply unwind, look no further as Bamboo Island has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
