Otherwise known as the Bali provincial state museum of Denpasar, the Bali Museum Denpasar contains a trove of information on the local art and history culture, perfect for history buffs and art aficionados looking for a temporary haven from the hustle and bustle of nearby city life.


Today, the museum is home to an extensive collection of paraphernalia related to traditional Balinese traditions and architecture, including Balinese art, religious ceremonial material, and more, giving visitors a glimpse into the amazing development of the Balinese community from prehistoric times to the modern, contemporary world. Divided into three sections: the Karangasem museum, the Tabanan house, and the Buleleng building, the Bali Museum is definitely worth getting lost in for a couple of hours, providing visitors a different and unique local immersion experience in the lovely island of Bali. Highlights include the dance costumes and masks within the Tabanan house, the ceremonial relics situated within the Karangasem museum, as well as the colourful displays of textiles within the Buleleng building.
