Bains des Pâquis

A beautiful spot to unwind and relax near the water.

Are you sick of hearing people talk about the world’s best beaches? And who says you can only swim in the sea? As an artificial peninsula that feeds into the freshwater lake near Pâquis District, Bains des Pâquis provides a refreshing alternative to the usual coastal setting. So if you are tired of an ordinary saltwater experience, but still want to enjoy a large body of water, then the Bains des Pâquis is for you. It boasts several stunningly turquoise vistas and inviting jetties where you can laze and sunbathe to your heart’s content. If you’re tired of the water, take a nap under one of the huge shady umbrellas. No more fuss over itchy sand or sticky skin. The easy access to the inviting water makes it a popular summer destination for locals and tourists alike. It also offers a brilliant view of the lake and the Jet d’Eau, so you can admire the scenery while in the water.

Tips Before You Go
The baths are comprised of two saunas as well as hammam and Turkish baths that you can relax in. The baths themselves can be a little cramped at times, especially with so many visitors. This typically happens in the evening though. You can also choose to dine in the nearby restaurant, or attend a summer concert during the holiday season.
