Avalon Beach is located in the northern region of Sydney, 37km north of the Central Business District. It features soft copper sands and a 25-m salt-water rock pool that is great for swimming, which can be found at the south end of the beach. Being a popular surf spot, it is no wonder that some of the prior and current residents of the Avalon region include former surfing world champions like Ben Player.
