Tokyo is known for its interesting buildings and sometimes quirky sense of humor. The Asahi Beer Headquarters is an amalgamation of these qualities. This cluster of 2 buildings has the main building at 100m-tall, made to look like a beer jug with a white roof resembling "foam". The second building, aka Super Dry Hall, uses black glass for the body and is topped with a "Flamme d’Or”, or flame of gold. Because of their quirky sense of humor, this flame of gold has been nicknamed the “golden turd”, and often referred to as the “poo building”. Grab your beers, shochu, wine, or any other spirit at one of Japan's biggest beverage companies, just so that you can tell your friends about your drinking experience in a building nicknamed after body waste matter.
