Art Pavilion, Zagreb

Art here is not just found in the interior, but the exterior as well.

It would not be a stretch to say that the Art Pavilion in Zagreb is as stunning on the outside as it is within. Founded in 1898, the Pavilion is the oldest exhibition hall in Zagreb and has held most of the notable exhibitions in Croatia's history. The gallery does not have a permanent installation, rather, it hosts time-bound installations instead.

In fact, the gallery has even played host to notable artist Andy Warhol's work before. Another significant exhibition is titled "The Passion of Creation - Masterpieces from the Collection of the Fondation Maeght" - which features 64 works of art, including that of Frenchman Georges Braque, an influential figure in 20th century art.

Tips Before You Go
Those adverse to large crowds need not worry here, as very few people actually visit the Art Pavillion. Seeing as the exhibitions here are all temporary, make sure to check beforehand to see if any of them strike your fancy. Remember to take pictures of the splendid exterior too!
