Antisamos Beach

Oh yes, the mandolin, that’s right!

Did you know that the famous Hollywood movie Captain Corelli’s Mandolin was partially filmed here at the Antisamos Beach? It is one of the most popular beaches in Kefalonia, Greece, for sunbathing and swimming, due to its breathtaking scenery and easy accessibility. Surrounded by lush greenery, this beach looks like it has been brought to life from a postcard. Since it’s located merely a few kilometres away from the port of Sami, getting there is not be a problem at all. There is a coastal road that leads to the beach and renting a car in this area is a walk in the park. The Antisamos Beach, however, is not all crystal blue waters and captivating scenery. It is also a heaven for those who seek thrill and adventure, as there is a terrific watersport centre (known as Extreme Watersports Antisamos) that will certainly quench your thirst for some action. Oh, and did we forget to tell you that this beach is also a haven for fish?
