Angelino Heights

In this part of LA, not a day has passed since the mid 1800s.

Petticoats and three piece suits, a pocket watch hanging by a chain on your lapel: all these would fit right into the dainty neighborhood of Angelino Heights. For the romantics and daydreamers, this would fill in that nostalgic hole in your hearts to relive the bygone days. Every single house down either side of the asphalt pavements still retains its 19th Century elegance. In fact, these houses are outright Hollywood stars with features in some of the most famous films, TV shows, commercials and music videos produced such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’. Neat lattice embellishments and trimmings define Sessions house, best embodied as a kindly school teacher with an air of welcoming balanced against careful order. Innes house is the mayor of the lot with its tell-tale rouge wooden walls edged with rounded columns of white. Each mansion which turns up appears more impressive than the previous, the intricate wainscoting and circular towers at times incomparable in their splendor. But with a dozen unique characters, these houses create a wonderful medley of the past within Angelino Heights.
