A waterfall in Berjo Village in Karanganyar, Central Java.
38km from Solo lies the Jumog Waterfall, which takes its name from the hill over which it plummets. Located on the larger Mount Lawu, it is also called the Twin Waterfalls due to waterfall splitting into two as it plunges downstream of a height of 25 metres. With the water coming from a mountainous source, it is clean and beautiful, making it mightily impressive to gaze at..
With a cheap ticket, you can head towards the Jumog waterfall by taking a path strewn with rows of lush vegetation and with other, smaller waterfalls along the way. The Jumog Hill itself is split into 3 main tiers: the upper, middle and lower sections, and each section has its respective access point and car park.. The lower section is best for families with young children, as there are no stairs that need climbing, while the middle point requires climbing up and down 116 steps or so. Fret not though, for each section offers you marvellous views of this absolutely stunning waterfall.
With a swimming pool and water slides available on site as well, a trip to the waterfall is best enjoyed by taking a dip in the waters here. For those interested in hiking along the trail, hiking or sports shoes are recommended!
