A stunning educational experience – learn while experiencing beauty.
Adam Art Gallery is a beautiful building atop a hill in the New Zealand capital of Wellington. Constructed to fit between three existing University buildings, this gallery (also known as Te Pātaka Toi) actively pursues its vision to display and showcase the works of both local and international artists that educates as well as opens doors to learning in the community. Its tall and sleek, as a result of its location, serves to enhance space in each gallery, making it a more than viable place to showcase some of the many contemporary art pieces it has in its collection.
Many a times, talk, workshops, forums and even lectures compliment the various exhibitions on show here. This is done so as to aid one’s critical reflection on how art contributes towards shaping people’s attitudes to an evolving world, especially in the local Kiwi context. So spend an afternoon perusing through some interesting exhibits and open your mind to new modes of learning at the Adam Art Gallery. Let the exhibitions resonate with you as you reflect on how your own perspectives are shaped while pondering the effect of the artistic world on society’s ever-evolving constant.
